Our client is seeking an Aircraft Refuelling Operator to be based in Somalia to conduct aviation fuel operations and into-plane refuelling of United Nations aircraft.


• To meet the needs of our customers by safely and correctly refuelling aircraft in a timely manner.
• To maintain bulk fuel and fuel delivery assets.
• To ensure that all QC/QA, health, safety, environment, fire and security procedures are adhered to.

• Refuel aircraft in accordance with our clients’ policies and procedures.
• To safely and efficiently conduct Refuelling Operations of a variety of UN and Civilian Aircraft on UNSOM controlled Airfield Aprons in accordance with UN and Eco Fuel FZE policies and procedures.
• To ensure all Fuel Delivery Assets are serviceable through scheduled daily/weekly checks.
• To maintain aviation product levels to maximum SFL in Fuel Tankers to enable adequate volumes to be supplied to aircraft on time 24/7.
• To ensure aviation product is delivered clean and dry and on specification to customers in the requested quantities, safely and within contractual timeframe.
• To conduct daily QC checks on all serviceable Fuel Tankers.
• To safely load Fuel Tankers in accordance with company procedures.
• To conduct clear and concise communications with ATC Tower and Air Operations.
• To refuel Aircraft in accordance with strict Company procedures whilst constantly observing pump pressures, flow rates and equipment integrity.
• To ensure all associated paperwork is completed legibly and correctly through to final customer invoicing.
• To account for any stock under your daily responsibility.
• To maintain all workplace areas i.e. Truck cabs, Office, QC shed, Truck parking bay so as to remain clean, tidy and free of hazards.
• To ensure that all security procedures and practices are adhered to.
• To ensure that all items of company property whilst in your possession are treated in a responsible manner.
• To ensure that all regulations relating to the safety of equipment and personnel are adhered to.
• To ensure that our clients’ Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
• To liaise with Site Managers/Supervisors and discuss any improvements to delivery schedules/procedures which could be beneficial to the company.

• Managers and supervisors carry both legal and company responsibilities for ensuring the health and safety of their employees, those under their control and those who might be affected by the work undertaken, i.e. public, visitors and employees of other organisations. This includes briefing individuals working for them and ensuring there is the necessary understanding, competence and application of requirements to work safely and without harming the environment.
• Employees are responsible for ensuring they fully understand the health and safety risks involved in their work activities and their responsibility to apply the controls needed to manage those risks to acceptable levels. Similarly where work activities can have an adverse impact upon the environment, and particularly where there are legal requirements, employees are responsible for understanding those impacts and the controls they must ensure are applied.

• Accomplished Aircraft Refueller with knowledge of aviation operations and airfield rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of bulk fuel distribution and all associated operational aspects of fuel storage and distribution within both aviation and vehicle fuel delivery environment.
• Hold HGV Driving Licence and have knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Proven ability to work in remote, arduous locations, or a clearly expressed commitment to do so for a minimum 12 month period.
• Good communication skills in English and ideally one other language.
• Able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
• Resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
• Basic PC /computer skills.


• Good communication skills in English and ideally one other language.
