Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement crime reduction strategies
Developing a crime reduction plan based on crime dynamics and trends within the area
Engaging with local forums and comparing crime prevalence within the area and product lines
Liasing with internal and external stakeholders regarding crime reduction strategies
Implementing and monitoring corrective measures on identified crime trends
Providing advice to the business on proactive crime reduction activities in line with the occurrences
Ensuring the continuous crime awareness campaigns within the area
Evaluating protection status on high crime sites and premises and make relevant recommendations.
Providing area crime investigation services
Implementing objective investigative techniques which comply with ethical and legal conduct
Actioning the process of investigations during incidents and accidents
Following up on incidents / accidents and ensuring closure
Ensuring the development of investigation report and feedback to relevant stakeholders
Ensuring adherence to Eskom ethical procedures and directives during incident investigations
Conducting security risk assessments and developing reports in line with business needs.
Develop and maintain a security risk profile
Gathering crime information relating to incidents and crime tendencies within the area.
Interacting with Law Enforcement Agencies, Universities and Crime Institutions to verify and validate criminal information, tendencies in terms of their micro (internal to Eskom) or macro nature.
Providing comprehensive reports on criminal activities and tendencies to enable informed business decisions whereby risk is minimised.
Establishing accessible and user friendly crime reporting system / process for the area
Stakeholder interface
Provide regular feedback and progress report on incidents/crime to relevant stakeholders within the business
Developing and fostering an interactive relationship with internal and external to Eskom crime affiliated departments to combat and minimise criminal activity.
